Simple sockets with OSLib

Hi all,

I'm writing a C application using OSLib/OSLibSupport and the Toolbox.

I'm planning on doing a few *simple* things with sockets: gethostbyname and
ntohl are the only socket functions I'll need (I think/hope!).

Is there a preferred library and/or way of doing things?  A while ago, I
tried using Acorn's TCPIPLibs, and they didn't get on with OSLib too well. 
The stuff in OSLib's socket.h doesn't seem to do what I want.

Has anyone written their own functions that will do what I want?
