Compiling under Unix/Linux

Dear All,
Just for the hell of it (well not exactly) I've been working on getting
OSLib to compile and build under Unix/Linux.
An archive with notes and an updated Makefile can be found at:
http://www.philipnet.com/unix-oslib.zip
I am willing to work on it further. Possible improvements could be:
- porting and using ReduceAOF.
- linking the SWI files and not copying them.
- keeping the file extensions for mklinks and the Makefiles.
- sorting out directories/directory names (it's all build in
!OsLib.Tools.DefMod2.unix_eg at the moment).
- scripting the whole process - so the user can run just one file
(enter a few pieces of info) and build it. It might be prudent to
make use of autoconf/automake/whatever for this.
My only concern with it is that the AOF is 1.5Mb in size, 200K bigger
than the distribution one, but the difference may be due to ReduceAOF
not being used.
Comments please.
Yours,
Phil L.
