Yes - Messenger does get horribly confused if you do things while it's
trying to open a message or group. I've mentioned this on the remotenb
mailing list; I'm not certain whether Mark is aware that problems remain?
I guess he is now, anyway :-)
Anyway, I believe Tom has cunning plans to make opening things quicker
when a scan is going on (which seems to be what causes most of the
slowness) :-)
