8 bit os_f handles

It was a very early one which I no longer had. All the standard C library
fucntions were implememnted in C not assembler. So I assume someone might
have the original sources lying around. It would be the quickest option,
only requiring a recompile, to get a 32bit environment up.

I'll have to look into seeing if anyone is doing this.
