You will find that most functions are still C code and only when it
is really necessairy, there is assembler involved.  Also the startup
of the run time environment contains a little bit of assembler.  Even
with the current version, I think a couple of hours are needed to have
a first working prototype.

AFAIK, nobody.  Also UnixLib as a module would be also very nice.  But
that's certainly more work.
