That's not my experience. If I'm working on a single source file, it
might take a second or two to build. If I cross-compile it, it might take
only a second. The difference is completely irrelevant to me -
especially as cross-compiling has some fixed overheads anyway.

Well, for what it's worth, I probably /do/ qualify as an idiot when it
comes to makefiles/compiling etc ;) and I didn't have any problems at
all setting up the cross-compiler :)
